NORFOLK CONTEMPORARY ART 2010 On no account miss our NCAS exhibition this year. Two years ago, NCAS in partnership with The Forum showcased an open, selling exhibition of the very best of contemporary art in the region. The result, NCA08, was a resounding success, with thousands of people visiting the exhibition. Two years later it is time to make it a regular biennial event and so the NCAS and the Forum have again worked in partnership to stage NCA10. This time 65 outstanding works have been selected, from almost 600 works submitted (twice as many as last time), to represent the very best artwork being created in the region. NCA10 is jointly curated by writer and critic Ian Collins and sculptor Derek Morris. All the works are for sale. A look behind the scenes of NCA10 can be seen and heard in Fusion, the Forum's digital screen, from 12–17 July. Part of the exhibition will also be shown at COAST, the first Cromer and Sheringham Area Arts Festival between 23rd and 31st October 2010. The gala opening is on Wednesday 30 June (invitation enclosed, admission by invitation only) and the whole exhibition runs from Thursday 1 July to Wednesday 21 July 2010 in the Atrium at The Forum, Norwich. Open Daily: 7am–midnight, Admission free. There is a terrifi c opportunity to meet and hear groups of the artists in the show talk about their practice in a series of free lunchtime talks, every day from 12.30 to 1.30 in Fusion from Monday 12 to Saturday 17 July. Make sure you put the following dates in your diary: Monday 12 July Sculpture
